The Most Beautiful Minneapolis Images for Your Home and Office
Why a Most Popular Images List?
As people contact me looking to purchase prints, they frequently ask me what image should I purchase and what images are most popular? So, I thought it was time to come up with the definitive list of “The Most Beautiful Minneapolis Images for Your Home and Office”.
How This Got Started
I have been a photographer for a very long time. Originally, I picked up a camera in grade school. I would take pictures of family outings, beautiful places, and days out on the Mississippi River.
In college, I remember having a 35 mm camera and 3 lenses. I was the one who would be taking pictures at college events and outings.
As an adult, in 2003 I remembered finding the website flickr.com and seeing some of the amazing work people were producing. It was at that point I decided to become a real artist.
My Selection of Subjects
Over the years my main focus for photography has become fine art landscape and travel photography. My purpose in life is to travel the world to see and explore the most beautiful places in God’s Creation. Then I attempt to capture those places in interesting beautiful lighting conditions. I also use my time to teach others to do the same. You can find more information on photography lessons here.
Over the years my focus for photography , I have been blessed with the opportunity to capture a vast array of stunning images. The purpose of this project is to give some order to that collection. Thereby making it easier for you the viewer, to see and experience the best of the best of my work in a simple orderly fashion.
How Does One Build Such a List?
To help me come up with a list of my best work, I use the analytics capabilities of my gallery website https://wayne-moran.pixels.com. That site gives me information on how many views an image has had over the lifetime on the site. It also gives me information on the number of sales per image. I used a combination of that information to come up with this final list. So here we go.
Iconic Minneapolis Stone Arch Bridge

The Stone Arch Bridge is a classic symbol of Minneapolis. It is a view of an era gone by, mixed with the modern. The bridge built by a great railroad baron, was used to create much of the wealth of the region being the means by which grain could come to market in the breadbasket of the country. This image is one of my most popular, being used for book covers, marketing material for local corporations and art in many offices and fine homes. This is the image that started it all off. This was the first image that I sold for way more than I thought was possible. And it continues to sell very well today!
Minnesota Twins Target Field Minneapolis Skyline

Take me out to the ball game…
This shot was captured at the Minnesota Twins stadium known as Target Field in Minneapolis Minnesota. This was a great win for Matt Fox’s professional Baseball debut.
I had great fun with the boys and I was able to witness this wonderful sunset.
As Tim would say, “this is quality of life my boys, quality of life.” Thanks Tim and Pat.

Downtown Minneapolis Skyline Hennepin Avenue Bridge

The view of the Downtown Minneapolis Skyline over the Hennepin Avenue Bridge is one of the most spectacular in all of Minneapolis. If you have not been there, I would recommend that you get there for an adventure in beauty.
Minneapolis Skyline at Night

This view of the Minneapolis Skyline from the southwest end of Marquette Avenue is in my opinion the best view of Minneapolis. It shows the city in all its splendor as the sun goes down in the west. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum

This image was originally taken Aug 2, 2009. I had the awesome opportunity to shoot with an up-and-coming photographer, Ava. The top location on our list was the Weisman Art Museum on the University of Minnesota Campus.
And I quote…
“Housed in a striking stainless steel and brick building designed by architect Frank Gehry, the Weisman Art Museum offers an educational and friendly museum experience. The museum’s collection features early 20th century American artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe and Marsden Hartley, as well as a diverse selection of contemporary art. A teaching museum for the University of Minnesota and the community, the Weisman provides a fresh, engaging arts experience through an array of programs and a changing schedule of exhibitions.”

Recently I had a hankerin’ to get out and capture some cool architecture around Minneapolis. I had been spying out Robert H. Bruininks Hall on the University of Minnesota campus and today I had some time so what the heck. I ran over to the U of M to explore. This is one of the images that I discovered. I hope you like it.

The Hennepin Avenue Bridge, Minneapolis and the Gain Belt Beer sign are classic icons of Minneapolis life. To see them captured in gorgeous light and reflections magnify their importance and beauty. Of course this is the mighty Mississippi River.

Riverplace Minneapolis Little Europe

Minneapolis is filled with magical little spots that almost defy the imagination. This area is called Riverplace and is a quaint almost European spot just east of the heart of Minneapolis. The turn of the century bridge and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church gives you a feeling that you are in some quaint little European town. This is the location of the Minneapolis stone arch bridge festival where amazing artists from the region bring their wares. I would suggest as the weather gets a little warmer go grab an adult beverage on the deck of one of the wonderful local restaurants and peer out over the Mississippi River as the sun goes down on the Minneapolis skyline. If you’re not familiar with this area, be sure to get out and check it out and of course bring your camera!
Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed strolling down memory lane as much as I did. Whenever I look at all the places I have been and the images I have captured, I am again reminded how incredibly blessed I am.
