ToggleArtificial Intelligence (AI) Research Project

At work (yep, believe it or not, I am not a full-time photographer), I was invited to a meeting to provide some expertise in writing a Company Policy for “Generative Artificial Intelligence. ” It had become known that I use several tools quite liberally in my work. I use AI to help write most of my recent blog posts. My job is to provide exciting topics, the voice, the direction, and the final editing.
The meeting clarified that many participants had not been using AI much yet. So, I decided to do a little research project to help them understand what these tools can do.
The AI Test
While out on my walk after the meeting, I ran a test on ChatGPT and X/GROK
I asked both engines this question.

Another recurring theme in his writing is the idea of art as an expression of worship. He sees photography not just as a profession or hobby but as a way to glorify God. From Twitter/X GROK
Wayne Moran, through his photography and writings, presents a worldview deeply intertwined with themes of creation, light, and the divine. Here’s an analysis based on the information available:
Spiritual and Philosophical Depth:
Moran frequently references the biblical phrase “Let There Be Light” from Genesis, suggesting a spiritual or religious underpinning to his work. This isn’t merely about capturing physical light but seems to symbolize enlightenment, revelation, or a divine moment of creation. His photography, therefore, might be seen as an attempt to capture not just the beauty of the world but moments of divine creation or revelation, making him feel like a “co-creator” with a higher power.
Art as Communication and Understanding:
Moran’s mention of his work moving both himself and his audience to “new levels of communication and understanding” indicates a belief in the transformative power of art. His photography isn’t just about aesthetics but about conveying emotions, memories, and dreams. This suggests a worldview where art, particularly photography, serves as a bridge between the personal experience and universal truths or emotions.
Premeditation and Vision:
From his blog, it’s clear that Moran’s approach to photography involves a lot of pre-visualization. He thinks deeply about his subjects before capturing them, which reflects a worldview where intentionality and foresight are valued. This methodical approach might extend beyond photography into how he views life’s events and decisions, suggesting a belief in the power of contemplation and planning.
Community and Sharing:
His engagement with the community, as seen in his WCCO TV interview and offers for photography lessons, shows a worldview where knowledge and beauty are meant to be shared. This communal aspect suggests Moran sees value in teaching, learning, and connecting with others through art, possibly viewing these interactions as part of a larger human narrative or community-building.
Evolution and Adaptation:
His career spanning decades, as highlighted in interviews, indicates an adaptive worldview. Moran has likely seen and adapted to changes in technology, culture, and art, suggesting a belief in growth, learning, and the continuous evolution of both the artist and his craft.
The Role of the Artist:
Moran’s self-description as using “God given attribute of creativity” positions him not just as a photographer but as someone who sees his role as inherently spiritual or divinely inspired. This could imply a worldview where artists are not just creators but interpreters or channels of a higher creative force.
Aesthetic and Emotional Impact: His focus on capturing images that evoke strong emotional responses or memories points to a worldview where beauty and emotion are deeply connected. This might reflect a belief in the intrinsic value of beauty in life, not just for its own sake but for its ability to connect, heal, or inspire.
In Summary
Wayne Moran’s worldview, as reflected through his photography and writings, seems to be one where art, particularly photography, is a medium for spiritual exploration, emotional connection, and communal sharing. His work suggests a life philosophy where creation, light, and human experience are deeply interwoven, with photography serving as both a tool for personal expression and a means to communicate profound truths or emotions to others. This perspective positions him as both an artist and a philosopher, using his lens to explore and share insights into the human condition and the divine.
Final Result
Well, there you have it. These tools are truly amazing. The breadth and scope of information gathered is overwhelming. It would have taken me 10+ hours to gather this information, put it in an understandable order and format in a way that humans could understand it.
I like the way ChatGPT put it all together better than GROK. To be fair, Open AI has 3+ years development on GROK and Elon Musk is very serious about what he is building GROK. This is only GROK version 2 and buy version 4 Elon expects to surpass OpenAI. We will see.
But in the meantime, we all get to use these amazing tools.
I recommend you start to use them, and give the creators feedback, especially when you notice a bias or outright errors.
“May you live in interesting times” is an English expression that is claimed to be a translation of a traditional Chinese curse. The expression is ironic: “interesting” times are usually times of trouble.
Anyway, we certainly live in interesting time. If you have any questions on the article, feel free to Contact US, and until next time, get out and capture the adventure.
