I’ve spent years chasing light in some of the most breathtaking places on earth.

Iceland in the dead of winter, where the sky turns colors that don’t seem possible. The sea stacks at Reynisfjara rising out of black sand like something from another world. The painted mountain churches of Seyðisfjörður reflected in water so still it looks like a mirror. Waterfalls that pour off basalt cliffs and disappear into mist before they hit the ground.

Greece, where the light hits whitewashed walls in the late afternoon and everything glows. Minnesota, where I’ve photographed the Boundary Waters, the north shore, and landscapes that most people drive past without ever seeing what’s actually there.
