Minneapolis Wall Art – The Most Beautiful Minneapolis Images for Your Home and Office

Why a Most Popular Images List?

Minneapolis wall art has always held a special place in my photography collection. For more than 20 years, I have explored Minneapolis with my camera, photographing the skyline, the Stone Arch Bridge, the Mississippi River, Bde Maka Ska, Target Field, U.S. Bank Stadium, and many of the landmarks that give this city its character.

People looking for artwork for their homes and offices often ask me, “Wayne, which Minneapolis photographs are your most popular?” This article is my answer.

These are not simply the images I personally like best. I selected them by looking at print sales, gallery views, comments from collectors, and the photographs people return to again and again. My work has been purchased for private homes, offices, book covers, marketing campaigns, and major healthcare installations. I have now sold thousands of prints, and my online gallery has received more than 5.8 million visitors.

Whether you are decorating a Minneapolis home, furnishing an office, searching for a meaningful Minnesota gift, or remembering a city you once called home, I hope this collection helps you find an image that connects with you.

How This Minneapolis Photography Collection Got Started

My relationship with photography began long before I ever imagined selling my work. I first picked up a camera in grade school and used it to photograph family outings, beautiful places, and days spent along the Mississippi River.

In college, I carried a 35mm camera and three lenses and became the person who photographed events and adventures with friends. Then, in 2003, I discovered Flickr and saw the extraordinary images photographers around the world were creating. That experience challenged me to stop thinking of photography as simply something I enjoyed and begin pursuing it seriously as an art form.

Minneapolis became one of my most important subjects. I returned to familiar locations in different seasons, weather conditions, and light, learning that even an iconic landmark can become something completely new when photographed at the right moment.

How I Selected These Minneapolis Wall Art Prints

To create this collection, I studied the analytics from my Fine Art America gallery, including lifetime image views and print sales. I combined that information with direct feedback from collectors and my own experience working with homeowners, businesses, and healthcare organizations.

The result is this curated collection of my most popular Minneapolis photography prints. Each image tells a story about the city, and each is available as wall art in a variety of sizes and materials for homes, offices, and commercial spaces.

Now, let’s explore some of the most beautiful Minneapolis images I have created.

Iconic Minneapolis Stone Arch Bridge

The Stone Arch Bridge is a classic symbol of Minneapolis. It is a view of an era gone by, mixed with the modern. The bridge built by a great railroad baron, was used to create much of the wealth of the region being the means by which grain could come to market in the breadbasket of the country. This image is one of my most popular, being used for book covers, marketing material for local corporations and art in many offices and fine homes. This is the image that started it all off. This was the first image that I sold for way more than I thought was possible. And it continues to sell very well today!

Take me out to the ball game…

This shot was captured at the Minnesota Twins stadium known as Target Field in Minneapolis Minnesota. This was a great win for Matt Fox’s professional Baseball debut.
I had great fun with the boys and I was able to witness this wonderful sunset.
As Tim would say, “this is quality of life my boys, quality of life.” Thanks Tim and Pat.

This image was originally taken Aug 2, 2009.  I had the awesome opportunity to shoot with an up-and-coming photographer, Ava. The top location on our list was the Weisman Art Museum on the University of Minnesota Campus.

And I quote…

“Housed in a striking stainless steel and brick building designed by architect Frank Gehry, the Weisman Art Museum offers an educational and friendly museum experience. The museum’s collection features early 20th century American artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe and Marsden Hartley, as well as a diverse selection of contemporary art. A teaching museum for the University of Minnesota and the community, the Weisman provides a fresh, engaging arts experience through an array of programs and a changing schedule of exhibitions.”

Minneapolis is filled with magical little spots that almost defy the imagination. This area is called Riverplace and is a quaint almost European spot just east of the heart of Minneapolis. The turn of the century bridge and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church gives you a feeling that you are in some quaint little European town. This is the location of the Minneapolis stone arch bridge festival where amazing artists from the region bring their wares. I would suggest as the weather gets a little warmer go grab an adult beverage on the deck of one of the wonderful local restaurants and peer out over the Mississippi River as the sun goes down on the Minneapolis skyline. If you’re not familiar with this area, be sure to get out and check it out and of course bring your camera!
